Programs of study
Free Elective Program
Students may shape their own program of study by selecting courses from the current schedule of classes which is posted on this website . Students may take up to 15 credits for a semester, 9 for a summer session and 6 for Intersession. Those studying in the semester programs are required to take an Italian language course. Not all subjects or courses listed in the catalogue are offered every session. The course selection may vary from session to session, and courses will only run with the required minimum of enrollments. All courses are taught in English with a few exceptions which are clearly indicated in the course schedule.

The Art Programs
The FUA Art Programs are designed specifically for undergraduates and internationally qualified students whose academic priorities, personal interests or career plans lie in the area of Studio Art. All three programs – the Certificate and the Associate Certificate Programs and the Four Year Professional Certificate - offer a pre-planned structure of courses aimed at providing students with a complete learning path in the areas of their choice. Each program is one year long, beginning in the Fall semester. It is possible for students to attend just one semester. At the end of each program of studies, students can extend their stay with a new semester or a second year program.
